4. Aggregated User Information
We perform statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behaviour of our members and visitors, to measure overall demographics and interests regarding specific areas of The Audition Technique domain and to analyse how and where to use our resources. We also use the aggregate data collected to inform our sponsors as to the number of people who have seen and ‘clicked’ on their advertisement. In addition, The Audition Technique may compile and disclose aggregate information about its users for promotional or other purposes. For example, we might want to disclose that a certain percentage of our users are located within a particular geographic area or fall within a particular age range.
5. Member Information

During the registration process, members may grant permission for The Audition Technique to share contact information with third parties or sponsors. The option for granting this permission is clearly marked on the registration pages.
You will not be spammed. At The Audition Technique we do not endorse the practice of sending unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam). We also use third party advertisements on The Audition Technique to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
8. European Union Users
Data protection law in Europe requires a “lawful basis” for collecting and retaining personal information from citizens or residents of the European Economic Area. Our lawful bases include:
Performing the contract we have with you: In certain circumstances, we need your personal data to comply with our contractual obligation to deliver our products to you.
Legal compliance: Sometimes the law says we need to collect and use your data.
Legitimate interests: This is a technical term in data protection law which essentially means we have a good and fair reason to use your data and we do so in ways which do not hurt your interests and rights. We sometimes require your data to pursue our legitimate interests in a way that might reasonably be expected as part of running our business and that does not materially impact your rights, freedom or interests.
For example, we use identity, device, and location information to prevent fraud and abuse and to keep our site secure. We may also send you promotional communications about our products and services, subject to your right to control whether we do so.
We analyze how users interact with our Site so we can understand better what elements of the design are working well and which are not working so well. This allows us to improve and develop the quality of the online experience we offer all our users.
